The Cave was a big disappointment. The signs warning of Timber Rattlesnakes cancelled hiking plans. The park is beautiful and has awesome camping facilities. Just not worth the time and gas. Full review by Carol C

Why didn't you buy the annual park permit? One price per car ($30 for the year) plus camping fees which are priced per site. You have more than one car, leave them in the parking lot just outside the park. You and your friends could have camped for 2 nights $30 + $15 + $15.
Can you park next to your tent? (I can't walk very far, but no longer have a handicap tag. 66 years old) Are there picnic tables in tent camping sites? If not, may tent campers camp in rv sites? Are the tent camping sites shaded? Do the tent camping sites have electricity? I read that they do, but also saw a photo with just tents in a field. Thank you!

What made this park so cool was all the various places you can camp. There was a "main" tent camping area that had lots of spaces, plenty of parking. We were able to camp right next to our car. Outside the main area they still have camp spaces spread all throughout the park, but parking for those aren't as guaranteed. All the campsites have fire rings and picnic tables, and many of them have good shade from trees, as most of the park is wooded. I'm not sure if tent camping is allowed in rv sites, but we were able to use the showers there. Our site did have electricity in the main tent area. I hope this helps!
