The man accused of fatally shooting American Idol music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas Deluca, appeared in court on Wednesday, Aug. 20, for arraignment, but the judge had suspect Raymond Boodarian's case transferred to a mental health court, PEOPLE reports.

A man charged with fatally shooting an “American Idol” music supervisor and her husband in their Los Angeles home will undergo mental evaluation to determine whether he’s fit to stand trial, a judge ruled Wednesday.

Raymond Boodarian did not enter a plea on Wednesday during his appearance after the judge repeatedly tried to gain his attention.
