Commentary: As someone who has been writing about the iPhone for over a decade, I'm ready to see Apple step it up in this perhaps unexpected way.

Apple may skip launching the standard iPhone in fall 2026 pushing the iPhone 18 and 18e to spring 2027 while debuting premium models in fall 2026.
