After one of the biggest offseason quarterback battles in BYU football's history, the team has officially named freshman Bear Bachmeier the starting quarterback.
Bear Bachmeier, as noted on our CougarSportsInisder VIP Forum, has been trending towards the QB1 spot at BYU for the last week. According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, the Cougars are officially set to name Bachmeier the starting quarterback for the 2025 season.
Bachmeier’s impact in the football world started well before that, though — coming out of high school in California, he was a composite four-star rated quarterback who is a part of an athletic family and had already turned heads in his prep days.
