Adolescence debuted less than a month ago and already has more than 114 million views, Netflix says. Of that total, 17.8 million happened last week, making Adolescence No. 1 yet again, besting Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer and the streamer’s medical-procedural experiment Pulse in their respective debut weeks.

"Adolescence" has become Netflix's fourth-biggest show mere weeks after release, and now there's talk of a second season. Is that the right move?

Adolescence has dominated the Netflix charts since its release in March 2025 and one of the stars has now given fresh hope of season 2 becoming a reality. Written by Jack Thorne and Stephen Graham, the British crime drama follows Eddie Miller (Graham) as he deals with the fallout of his son Jamie (Owen Cooper) being accused of murdering a female schoolmate.
