INDIANAPOLIS — New Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo already has a sense of what four-time Pro Bowl cornerback Xavien Howard brings to his injury-depleted secondary — even at age 32,

The Dolphins have a solid defensive front that is anchored by Bradley Chubb, Jaelan Phillips and Chop Robinson. While Judon is 33 and not nearly as explosive as he was a few years ago, he should be able to provide valuable depth in Miami if he can remain healthy.

Howard's signing will put him on an active roster for the first time since the Miami Dolphins cut the four-time Pro Bowl selection and 2020 All-Pro in February 2024. Howard has dealt with a number of injuries in recent years, but the Colts conducted an in-person workout with him, with a team source describing his performance as "really good."
