Authorities are engaged in a standoff Monday night with a suspect they say took his girlfriend hostage and fired shots at officers in southwest Alabama. The incident began around 5:45 p.m. Monday in Atmore, when police responded to a home by Carver Avenue and Brown Street, authorities told Fox 10.
