The government and parliament of Denmark have reached a consensus regarding the possible deployment of troops to Ukraine to support a future peace settlement, states Denmark's Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense,

"If it comes to the point where a European presence is needed for a ceasefire or peace agreement to be reached, then Denmark is in principle prepared for that," Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said.

The Italian government hopes the war in Ukraine will end within a year. Therefore, the deployment of peacekeepers in Ukraine may not be necessary, according to Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.
