Many people across South Louisiana and Southwest Mississippi were surprised to see little ice pellets falling from the sky this morning.

There were reports of ice pellets falling in areas like Folsom, Madisonville, and Covington following 80-degree weather.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for P.E.I.'s Prince County, saying that a mix of snow, ice pellets, freezing rain and rain is expected to begin Wednesday afternoon and continue into Thursday.
