Mazda Miata sales soar 60% in April, leaving Subaru BRZ and Toyota GR86 in the dust. So not all shoppers are opting for practical vehicles.

The funny part is that Mazda did not have a monster month overall. Its U.S. sales fell 17.3 percent in April to 31,128 vehicles, and its year-to-date total dropped 15.1 percent to 125,601 vehicles.
