Williams is the first Black woman to handcraft both the Super Bowl logo and theme art, per Essence. She is also the first local artist to collaborate on a Super Bowl logo with the NFL.

The NFL logo and theme art for Super Bowl LIX features beadwork from Tahj Williams, a queen of the Golden Eagles Mardi Gras Indian tribe.

“I come from a great and beautiful culture, and I want the world to see it the same way as I do,” said Williams, 26, who is the first person to handcraft both the Super Bowl logo and theme art.
