KUSA - Five years ago, the most destructive tornado in Colorado history tore through the northern part of the state, destroying neighborhoods in Windsor and killing a man near Greeley.

On October 3, 1979, a devastating F4 tornado struck Windsor Locks, Connecticut, causing widespread destruction and resulting in three fatalities and 500 injuries.
