Concacaf, the soccer confederation of North, Central America and the Caribbean, says it rejects FIFA’s plans to sell stakes in the World Cup to private investors. All 41 members of Concacaf met on Thursday to discuss the proposals.
CONCACAF and its 41 member associations have unanimously rejected Gianni Infantino’s proposal to privatize World Cup assets through the FIFA Forward Enterprise initiative. The members instructed their representatives on the FIFA Council to demand compliance with the official statutes.
Three confederations were hard against the idea. The other three didn't exactly voice support either.
