Kentucky Derby marks the 151st edition of the race that's been dubbed "The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports." However, just twice in the race's history have horses finished in under two minutes: Secretariat (1973) and Monarchos (2001).

2018 Triple-Crown winner Justify has one son in the field, American Promise, trained by D. Wayne Lukas. According to Brooks Holton of the Louisville Courier Journal, this will mark the first time the offspring of two Triple-Crown winners have been in the same Kentucky Derby field since 1952.
