Giant, floating pumpkin races have drawn large crowds to the Oregon city of Tualatin. The Portland suburb has hosted the event since 2004.

Pumpkin grower Albert Rodebaugh of Craigsville, West Virginia took home first place in the North Carolina State Fair giant pumpkin contest last week and also clocked a new West Virginia state record. Rodebaugh’s pumpkin weighed in at a whopping 2,244.5 pounds, according to a release from the NC State Fair. It also a set a new site record.
