What Wisconsin HC Greg Gard said after beating Michigan State
Wisconsin head coach Greg Gard spoke about his team's win over Michigan State on Friday night.
The win was Wisconsin's second road victory over a top-10 team this season. The Spartans took the lead in the second half, but the Wolverines steaded themselves to beat their in-state rival. Jeremy Fears Jr. inspired the Spartans' road comeback and finished with a season-high 29 points and nine assists.
Back-to-back jumpers from Kur Teng along with a Carson Cooper floater helped MSU battle against the three-point barrage from the Badgers. Wisconsin would hold onto their lead heading into the second TV timeout 19-14. That’s when the Badgers run started.
