Amazon Kindle has a service called Send to Kindle that you can use to transfer Word files, PDFs, and even full-blown e-books to your Kindle without even connecting a cable to it!

This version is now a Google Docs file, automatically saved in your Google Drive. To keep the Google Docs format, go to ‘File’ in the upper menu, select ‘Save as Google Docs’.
