When Andrew Cuomo officially tossed his hat into the ring over the weekend, he instantly reset the dynamics of the race for New York City mayor -- and immediately claimed the frontrunner status.

Cuomo talked about the need to build affordable housing and his record of building things, including extending the Second Avenue subway, constructing the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, and updating the Moynihan Train Hall. Meanwhile, Gov. Kathy Hochul, who replaced Cuomo after his resignation, was non-committal about his entry into the race.
