A 73-year-old woman was killed after a suspected DUI driver crashed into a home overnight Saturday in Downey, according to police.

The crash occurred about 2:30 a.m. Saturday on the 9500 block of Gallatin Road, just west of the 5 Freeway. A 24-year-old Maywood man was driving a car eastbound on Gallatin Road when it crashed into the residence, according to the Downey Police Department.

According to the Downey Police Department, the incident was reported at about 2:28 a.m. in the 9500 block of Gallatin Road. A man, identified only as a 24-year-old Maywood resident, was driving eastbound on Gallatin when he crashed into a home at the end of a cul-de-sac.
