A shutdown deadline that could affect millions of Americans is almost here. Jamaica reels after Hurricane Melissa slams into the island, severely damaging roads and hospitals. Officials are assessing the damage after Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Jamaica as a Category 5.  And, how the government shutdown is impacting air traffic controllers.
Montego city was split in two by floodwaters, Mayor Vernon said. He told BBC Breakfast: "Once the wind subsided, we started to get a lot of heavy rain and that has led to massive floods right across the city. One side of the city is now cut off from the other due to roads being inundated by flood water."
