The Broncos brought in well-traveled defensive lineman Michael Dwumfour and waived undrafted linebacker JB Brown. Brown, out of Kansas, was a pick by many to make the team at inside linebacker this year, but he has been lost in the shuffle at that position.

The Jets are shoring up their defensive line depth. Gang Green acquired defensive tackle Jowon Briggs and a 2026 seventh-round pick from the Browns on Wednesday in exchange for a 2026 sixth-rounder. He’ll likely be in competition for one of the final roster spots behind likes of Jermaine Johnson, Quinnen Williams and Byron Cowart.

The New York Jets have added another piece to their defensive line. With an ongoing battle to find out who will start next to Quinnen Williams at the start of the season, Jowon Briggs' name can now be tossed into that.
