Steam's most-wishlisted game finally has a release date. A couple of days ago, on August 19, Team Cherry confirmed it would make a special announcement for Hollow Knight: Silksong, and it was indeed special.

Since Team Cherry first announced Silksong in Feb. 2019, waiting for the game has become a meme unto itself. Fans have characterised themselves as clowns for continuing to wait in the absence of any updates, as well as constantly getting excited then disappointed by rumours of news. Many have joked that Silksong will never actually arrive.

Silksong, an upcoming sequel to the hit 2D platforming Metroidvania action game developed by Team Cherry. Embark on a new adventure in the Hollow Knight franchise with the highly anticipated look of Hollow Knight: Silksong.
