It’s almost time to set your clocks back by an hour as Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend.

Fed Chair Jerome Powell announced that the Federal Reserve would cut interest rates by another quarter point on Wednesday, the second cut this year. Interest rates set by the Fed are now below 4 percent for the first time since late 2022.

Stocks rose, with the Dow industrials briefly climbing above 48000, ahead of a likely to cut to interest rates.
