CNN denied a report that boss Mark Thompson told staffers in Washington last week to lay off on coverage of the Trump administration’s demolition of the East Wing. “This is reckless and irresponsible conjecture without any fact checking done prior to publication,” a CNN spokesperson told The Hill on Monday in response to the report from Status.
