The Patriots were forced to punt again before the Falcons went on a marathon 12-play, 85-yard drive that ended with London scoring his third touchdown of the game. This one was over cornerback Carlton Davis. Romo missed the extra point, allowing the Patriots to keep a 24-23 lead.
Turnover differential: Falcons plus-2; Patriots plus-2. The Falcons offense runs through Bijan Robinson, the dual-threat running back with 962 all-purpose yards and four total touchdowns through seven games.
Tight end Kyle Pitts and wide receiver Darnell Mooney are good to go for Week 9 as well. Pitts was limited in practice this week due to an ankle injury, but he has yet to miss a game in 2025. Mooney has been banged up all season but appears to be getting healthy in time for the second half of the season.
The Patriots deserve credit for winning a sixth straight when they clearly not at their best, but a better opponent — like, say, the Buccaneers — would have made them pay.
