Republicans in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives have turned to a lawmaker from rural Bedford County to be their floor leader for the coming two-year session.

The Pennsylvania House will remain under Democratic control in 2025 as the party held on to all 102 of its seats — including one in Trump country.

Democrats will again control the state House with a 102-101 majority, after all incumbents running for reelection on Tuesday won.
