The Texas A&M Aggies were able to avenge their first conference loss against the Tennessee Volunteers last Tuesday with a win over the Texas Longhorns at the Moody Center in Austin Saturday night, 74-70.

After Texas A&M's 74-70 win over Texas on the road, first-year HC Bucky McMillan had plenty of praise for his veteran squad.

The No. 22 Vols (11-4, 1-1 SEC) bludgeoned Texas (9-6, 0-2) on the interior, racking up 44 points in the paint in the win at Food City Center. Adding to the dominant interior performance was senior guard Ja'Kobi Gillespie, who finished with a career-high 34 points on 12-of-18 shooting and 5-of-8 from three-point range.
