Two tornadoes touched down in North Jersey. If it were to happen again, here's what to do when you see a tornado advisory.
Severe weather has been impacting the entire region on Tuesday, with watches and warnings throughout the CBS News New York viewing area.
A tornado watch was reportedly issued at 2:05 pm local time for parts of Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York, including in the Bronx, Queens and Manhattan, through 9 pm.
NYC, NJ, LI and more parts of the tri-state are on flood watch Tuesday, with some areas under tornado watch or warning as well, as heavy rain threatens the rush-hour commute.
An updated tornado warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 1:44 p.m. in effect until 2:15 p.m. for Broome, Chenango and Delaware counties.
