The tribute has been in the works for three years, funded by donations that have been managed by the Community Foundation for Monterey County.

As a result of the power disruption, the jail is currently closed to the public. They are also not accepting new inmates.

Rosine's will be opening a new location in Sand City across from Target. The opening date is aimed for August, but is yet to be determined.
