The Hakaona are a semi-nomadic people of southern Angola, closely related to the Himba, with whom they share language and customs. They live in small, circular villages called onganda, made up of mud and wood huts.The women are known for their elaborate hairstyles and the use of reddish clay and ghee on their bodies, symbols of beauty and sun protection.
