Lastnight on the Archie Roach stage @portfairyfolkfestival, we announced Katie Aspel as the winner of the inaugural Ruby Hunter Award. Katie will receive mentoring from some of this country's best Indigenous female artists, and a cash prize too. Ruby was a trailblazer for women in music and spent her life championing the rights of Aboriginal women. Her music, her passion and strength will continue to live on with this award | Archie Roach
