This is a Mimosa pudica plant; the leaves move in response to being touched. 👉 The plant has specialised motor cells at the base of each leaf, which cause movement when triggered by an electrical signal. This signal is achieved by hitting the plant, heating it up, or cooling it down. ⚡ When the electrical signal reaches the motor cell, it causes potassium ions to leave the cell, followed by a loss of water. 💧 This water loss means less force is applied to the cell walls, which causes the motor
