Researchers at Barts Cancer Institute are offering pre-menopausal women at increased risk of ovarian cancer, an alternative type of surgery involving two-steps, to reduce their risk as part of the PROTECTOR Study. This involves a first operation to remove the fallopian tubes followed by a second operation to remove the ovaries.
