The Veterans Health Administration Food Security Office hosted a cooking competition at the Veteran Food Security Summit this month. US Navy Veteran Kissy Perez, executive chef at the Durham VA Medical Center, along with USMC Veteran Albert LaRotonda were on hand to provide professional cooking instructions to participants. Army Veteran and Department of Veterans Affairs Press Secretary Terrence Hayes participated in a cooking competition against the Secretary of Agriculture, Thomas J. Vilsack.
