Watch this Eastern Chipmunk storing food for the winter. She came to Wildwoods as an orphaned baby at the end of August. She is at the age that she could be released, but because she came to us so late in the summer, we have to overwinter her since she would not have had time to store food in preparation for a winter of intermittent hibernating and feeding.
