Ringing Rocks Park, a geological mystery in Upper Bucks - Pennsylvania . What are ringing rocks made of? The rocks themselves are composed of diabase, the same type of rock that makes up most the earth's crust. Another part of the mystery is while all the rocks seem to be made of the same material (mostly iron and hard minerals) only one-third of them generate the ringing sound when hit. | Mining Geologist

Bring your hammer for this one! 🔨 Location: Ringing Rocks County Park. Bucks County, PA The hike: It’s an essy 0.8 mi hike including an 8-acre boulder field with some ringing rocks and a waterfall. (I’m pretty sure I saw the best version of this waterfall on my visit. I have been told it is usually a trickle. There aren’t many waterfalls near Philadelohia FYI) You can make a longer 2.6 mi hike by connecting to Delaware Canal State Park. (This is what I did. The route is listed in @alltrails ) H
