Who remembers the eruption of Taal? It's been 6 years since the infamous Philippines volcano erupted in dramatic fashion, blanketing large areas in thick, sticky volcanic ash and forcing thousands of people to evacuate. I traveled to the area soon after the eruption and whilst I didn't see any eruptive activity one aspect of this event really shocked me - the large and numerous cracks that appeared in the ground, especially on the south side of the volcano.
