I don't work on laptops very often but here's one I worked on a few years ago that was a pretty satisfying fix. A viewer named Josiah tripped and landed on his laptop which broke the power button. So he sold it to me to see if I could fix it without having to replace the entire motherboard. Unfortunately a replacement part was not available so I had to get creative with this repair.
