On July 29, 1958, President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed the National Aeronautics and Space Act of 1958, establishing the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). For today, Howard printed an image of a spaceship from a photo engraving that was originally made for a flyer our print shop printed for a previous exhibit our museum had in conjunction with the former Science Center. The wood type, manufactured by the Hamilton Wood Type company, was made roughly 120 years ago. #onthisday #
